On 18 November, 2025, the Committee on Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, chaired by Ms. Kanimozhi, MP, held oral evidence of the representatives of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (Department of Consumer Affairs) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on the subject “Regulation of Packaged Commodities with specific reference to sugar content in baby products and other food products.” The Committee also held oral evidence of the representatives of the Department of Food and Public Distribution on the subject “Storage of foodgrains: Existing infrastructure and future strategy.”

The Parliamentary Committee on Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, under the Chairpersonship of Shri Saptagiri Ulaka, MP, held discussions with the representatives of State Government of West Bengal and SLBC Punjab National Bank at Kolkata on 17.11.2025. The Committee reviewed ongoing implementation of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj schemes of the Central Government and also visited the stalls of SHGs at the exhibition organised at the meeting venue, during their Study Visit.
